#18- This is an Old Believers cross

Description

This cross has the eight ended Golgotha cross on it with the spear and the vinegar stick. There is a radiant crown around the middle part of the cross with the beams in the form of pellets. The monogram UPb CBb [King of Glory] is on the top of the cross. The monograms IC XC [Jesus Christ] are on the lateral ends of the main cross beam. Adam’s skull in the cave is at the foot of the Golgotha cross. The monogram MAPE [The place of the cross has become Paradise.] is on the bottom of the cross. The perimeter of the front face of the cross has Psalm 68 “Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered, let those also that hate Him flee before him.” The back of the cross has a pattern. Circa 1600s
